In the professional world, few vocations require as much rapid education as a Nonprofit Operator, a role that requires smarts and constant adaptation.
In any given week, you might split your time between decoding governmental regulations, hiring staff, wooing donors, parsing corporate partnership documents, reviewing web analytics, weighing in on design, running a marketing campaign, and securing donations.
It’s a learning treadmill that doesn’t stop. Though some functions are absorbed as a nonprofit grows, an innovative Org will always find a new frontier to conquer.
During my time fund raising and marketing at UNICEF I craved a resource where I could get unstuck and be exposed to new ways of doing stuff. How should I be leveraging donor data in certain channels but not others? What tools and tactics can I borrow from mass marketing to influence growing mid-major-planned giving donor file growth? What’s the most optimal team structure to for fundraising teams and how should they be KPId?
Resources that are practical and published by people who have actually done the job are few and far between.
We’re building Pledgr as the go-to resource for Nonprofit Operators to drive sustainable growth.
It’s called “Pledgr” in celebration of what can be achieved by regular, monthly giving (pledge) and because it nods to the importance of lifetime value – a critical metric, and one that Nonprofit Operators should be focused on tracking, measuring and working toward growing.
